The Unitech Dairy-Farm (& Slaughterhouse) Wastewater Treatment System (UDFWTS)

In various regions of the United States, dairies are the primary source for groundwater contamination. The number one water quality problem for dairy farms is nitrate and salt pollution of groundwater. Dairy farms and slaughterhouses require huge amounts of land and water to dispose of animal waste.

Similar to the concept of the Bio-Redux¢â biological wastewater restroom systems, Unitech will design a system to alleviate the major waste issues that dairy farms and slaughterhouses face. By implementing the UDFWTS, the farmer can minimize the amount of space required to hold the waste by housing it into one compartmentalized housing system, which is only one-sixth the size of the traditional system currently being used. It can also process and dispose of the waste as well as recycle the water in one-sixth of the time, as well. Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of this system is that it is virtually odor-free.

Unitech has engineered a special bacterium that can reduce the salt and nitrate concentration levels; therefore, bringing all dairies into full governmental compliance.
